As a community-minded business leader, Mr. Tomasso is involved in youth-based initiatives and works to be a proactive member of his community.

Tomasso Group’s Land Acquisition in New Britain and Plainville

A construction professional based in New Britain, Connecticut, William Tomasso draws on over three decades of experience as the president of TBI Construction Company, an affiliate of the Tomasso Group. William Tomasso’s multi-disciplined business, which operates in the real estate development, construction, and property management sectors, offers services such as medical-professional office space leasing, construction, site selection, build-to-suit leases, and property acquisitions.

In 2019, such dealings included the purchase of over 80 acres of prime commercial land near the Interstate 84 and Route 72 intersection in Plainville and New Britain. The parcels are adjacent to two other structures developed by Tomasso Group, the Medical Arts Center and the Hartford Healthcare Cancer Institute at The Hospital of Central Connecticut. Future plans for the area involve developing long-term prospects for Connecticut-based businesses.

The site also holds significance for the Tomasso Group’s owners, whose family has resided in the New Britain community for nearly 100 years. Founded in 1923 in New Britain, the Tomasso Group has been passed down over four generations.
