Support Programs Offered by the Hundred Club of Connecticut

Entrepreneur William Tomasso serves as the principal of the Tomasso Group, a family of companies that have been real estate industry leaders for nearly a century. Outside of his work in the construction and real estate sectors, William Tomasso serves on the boards of several organizations, including the New Britain Police Athletic League and The Hundred Club of Connecticut.

For over 50 years, The Hundred Club of Connecticut has provided financial support to surviving spouses and children of fallen first responders, including police officers, correctional officers, and firefighters. The Hundred Club of Connecticut also offers additional supportive services through programs that include:

Medical After Care Programs – assistance with unexpected expenses such as medical or professional services.

Fixed Indebtedness Program – additional financial support for families facing large financial hurdles, such as large mortgages or other debt service payments.

Scholarships and Summer Camp Funds – up to $25,000 in scholarship funding for tuition and educational expenses, and four weeks of camps for each child.

Holiday and Birthday Programs – additional funding for birthdays and holidays that include Christmas, Thanksgiving, Valentine’s Day, and Mother’s Day.

William Tomasso’s grandfather, Angelo Tomasso Sr., started the Tomass Group in 1923. The family-owned business has since grown to become one of the largest construction and development conglomerates in Connecticut. In 1968, Tunxis Management was formed and grew into a diverse portfolio consisting of commercial and medical office buildings, industrial and retail facilities, apartment complexes, an airport and golf courses. Today, William Tomasso is the president of Tunxis Management and TBI Construction and a principal in the Tomasso Group, which continues to operate as a multi-disciplined Real Estate Development, Construction Management and Property Management company.

During his time in the family business, Mr. Tomasso has overseen the construction of a variety of construction projects, including major historical renovations, medical centers, and airports. As a community-minded business leader, Mr. Tomasso is involved in youth-based initiatives and works to be a proactive member of his community.

Mr. Tomasso is a board member of the Opportunities Industrialization Center of New Britain as well as a board member of The Hundred Club of Connecticut and the Waterbury Regional Chamber of Commerce.

William Tomasso graduated from Babson College in 1987 with a degree in finance. After that, he has held several executive positions in prominent real estate, development and property management fields. Currently, William Tomasso holds leadership roles at Tunxis Management, TBI Construction, and the Tomasso Group.

TBI Construction Company is a construction firm with more than 90 years of experience. The company is based in New Britain, Connecticut, and provides management services for demanding and complex projects. Mr. Tomasso has been with the company since 1990 and is the company’s president.

Tunxis Management Company is based in New Britain, Connecticut, and it offers a wide range of property and asset management services. Currently, the company manages over a million square feet of office, medical, industrial, and mixed-use space across Connecticut. Mr. Tomasso is the company’s current president.

Mr. Tomasso has been with the Tomasso Group for years. Currently, he is the company’s principal. The company is based in New Britain, Connecticut, and is active in real estate development, construction management, and property management.

Outside his professional work, Mr. Tomasso supports a wide range of charities, focusing on youth-oriented organizations and projects.

William Tomasso Encourages Entrepreneurship in Connecticut

Based in New Britain, Connecticut, William Tomasso is a real estate executive who leads the Tomasso Group and associated companies such as Tunxis Management Company and TBI Construction Company, LLC. Emphasizing responsiveness to clients, William Tomasso oversees diverse activities such as property development and construction, as well as coordination of enterprise investments. In December of 2019, Mr. Tomasso helped facilitate an event at the New Britain Opportunities Industrialization Center (OIC) for Men of Many Colors group members. Active with OIC for many years, he introduced Chris Link, the president of Link Mechanical, at the event. He had invited Mr. Link to make the presentation.

As reported in the New Britain Herald, Mr. Tomasso described Mr. Link as a homegrown success story whose message was vital in helping aspiring young professionals to gain insight into OIC career development and job training offerings. A Goodwin Tech graduate, Mr. Link went into detail about how he expanded from a location in his parents’ garage to 50 employees, including licensed technicians who earn $45 an hour.

William Tomasso’s community involvement extends to his firm donating a Yamaha Golf Cart to the Central Connecticut State University Campus Police in 2018. The vehicle enabled the department to undertake campus patrols and building checks, and fulfill campus requests.
